Title: Datapak protection
Post by Nick_Kostelidis on Dec 1st, 2018, 10:57am
Hello.
Is there any way to prevent to take an image (OPK file) from a datapak with sendpack or any other procedure?
Thank you all.

Not really. The system for preventing them being taken is based on the OS and so methods for accessing locked content avoided that. Moreover, the Datapak is a simple EPROM IC and so anyone with the means to read one of those could read the data. AFAIK, the Organiser II doesn't have anywhere near the processing power to do proper encryption in a realistic time frame.

If others have other ideas, this is the place!

Thank you Mikesan.
That means that no datapak or flash datapak is safe unfortunately  :(
