Title: Commslink Software & Win XP ?
Post by Boris on Oct 19th, 2002, 9:09pm
I know that CL.EXE did its duty from DOS3.x upto Win2000.

But I someone recently reported that he couldn't run it under Windows XP.

Can someone confirm it is working?

And how about the mac port?

CL.exe isn't working under Windows XP Home.
After transmitting a few packages to my PC, the message "TIME OUT" appears on my LZ64. CL displays the message "Link error -66 - aborting FTRAN server" at the same time.

I have written a 32bit replacement for CL.EXE.
It is not yet finished, but it should already be able to replace CL.EXE.
As there seem to be problems with installing on WindozeXP, I have repackaged the files as Windows-Installer package.

Download: Psi2Win installer for WindozeXP [link no longer valid]

;D're a genius!!!
The re-packaged psi2win works a treat with WinXPpro through my Belkin and upload which is more than I can get with some other devices.
I'm in-debted to you....Thanks again.

Hi Boris,
Been a long time!  I use my XP (I find the LZ chars a bit view angle dependent)  mainly for A-Z map references and part number lookup in my van.  Recently, the company I work for says I've got to tell them what parts I've used, so I've written a stock control system for my van.  It dawned on me that I hadn't resolved that issue with Psi2Win not working under Win 98SE (K7S5A mobo).  I've downloaded your latest one and......  IT WORKS!  Can't thank you enough for this site and Psi2Win.  It means I can put data on my current PC again.  I've been using a Toshiba T1800 laptop that I resurrected from a skip, as it is a 386 machine, running DOS 6.2 and is therefore 100% compatible with the Psion Developer.  BTW, does anyone know how/where to get OrgII Developer, or a clone running under Windoze?  I find it will run, but often lose files.
