Mac dev kit

Hi just unpacked an old box of computer parts; and found all my old Psion II bits and pieces. On a whim I decided to see if I could find any support for it, and found this group, Awesome. Promptly joined, now trawling through previous post to bring myself up to speed again.

May I ask a quick question?
I have all the hardware & books but none of the development software. Where is the best place to get it, and will it run on a Mac.

If it is within the Files section, just say Files, I will find it. Not looking for anyone to hold my hand, just do not want to spend hours and hours searching for something that is offsite.

Thanks Everyone

Dear Yettiman

Let me start by saying welcome, you are an early bird on a Sunday morning.

Others will no doubt give you the heads up on Apple products I will just point you to Jaap Scherphuis fantastic Psion Organiser II web site (below)

https://www.jaapsch.net/psion/index.htm

Check out Jape the emulator it's amazing and will of course run on a Mac.

Also Olivier Gossuin has developed some new and replacement hardware (below)

Peter 'thesourcerer' has all the other stuff you might need.

Again welcome
Sincerely and in good faith
Martin

Huge thanks Martin, I have already been on tne Jaap site, I spotted it during my trawling of the older posts, but I had not spotted the emulator' so big thanks for the link.

I really appreciate your kind words and help.

Looking forward to relearning all I can, I do remember it was a fun piece of kit. I never really liked the later models that you could not program.

My goal is find a use for it, but small steps first, as I remember it was a nice piece of kit, but was not easy to interface, so it will have to be a standalone project.

Thank you again sir.

Dear Yettiman

Just an update,

Jaap has a CL for Mac listed in his 'Software for Psion or PC' - 'Software by Others' section. All you need now is a USB Comms Link - Olivier made one.

Boris (RIP) discussed using Xmodem on a Mac in the absence of the Psi2Win.

Pardon thread hijack -- but I'm still waiting for Linux support for my Org2. Any coders on here want to take that one up...?
