Wow Olivier! That looks like a game-changer for the Organiser. Most people have problems linking to a modern PC.

With that hassle out of the way, it may well start to become much more useful in people's minds. I know I'd like one, for sure.

Please tell me, can you supply these? There is no buy link on the page..

The other thing is that while Boris' PC solutions probably work fine (I know they work fine for me on Windows 7 64bit Pro), a lot of people now use mobile devices, such as Android, so having a CL.EXE version for that would be good.

Yes, this is an exciting development...

That's great!  I've emailed you on this.

I've never used the FTDI USB chip, but I know that the EntTec OpenDMX converter uses it and so I had to install the drivers for that on my Windows 7, 64bit OS (it was 100% successful - no hassles), so presumably, that is the only thing that I'd need to have installed on my PC?

I think a lot of people would want to know how well this works - especially with Windows 8 and above.

Just received mine from Olivier today, quick dispatch and a great item, working fine here with psi2win on Win7 Home Premium 64bit with both LZ64 and XP.

I housed mine in a Psion PSU adapter case, fits perfectly with just 1 hole to drill for the LED and a little bit of plastic cut away for the USB port.

Highly recommended!

Dear All

Got my 'Comms Link with USB' up and running today - Fantastic now I've got my Organiser talking to my windows tablet.

I've got to say thank you and well done to Olivier it is a smart piece of kit. Also thank you to Peter TheSourcerer for the power supply enclosure the USB board fits like a treat with LED and everything. My original Comms Link doesn't even have an LED. All for less than I paid for the original Comms Link back in the 80's. It's a bit like Christmas.

Olivier if you are looking for another project my request would be for an adaptor to Organiser - Non-Contact Pocket Laser Tachometer.

Thanks everybody
Martin

Best thing since sliced bread for the Org II. G|ot mine few weeks ago and 100% Happy with it. I have just drilled small hole in the opposite side to the Power LED and put a clear LED lens cover over it and now got lights flashing when connected and trans and rec. Well worth doing. Thank You Olivier for your excellent service on the USB Comms Link.
