Dear Raymond

I'm sure thesourcerer will be in contact with a price list.

Now I apologise if I'm teaching my gran to suck eggs - but if you have not seen a Comms Link cable - then please don't get involved with this one on eBay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Psion-Organiser-2-Comms-Link-RS232-Cable-/292195855147?hash=item44083aeb2b:g:y6QAAOSwA3NZeKqO

as it's advertised as a Comms Link but it isn't one.

Good luck
Martin Reid

Thank you for the info, I have seen that one already and I realise it is a cable not what I want. Thank you for telling me anyway.
I also have a little knowledge with the Org II PDA. I have just got my one out of hiding for the last 15 years. I had the links but gave them away when I thought that was it. Could not resist having a little play again. Regards Raymond

I wrote the eBay bloke and explained what he had and why it wasn't as advertised. We'll see what happens ::)

Dear Raymond

While you are waiting for your Comms Link.

Do you have an LZ64 User Manual?

Jaap Scherphuis has published all the Organiser Manuals on his excellent Psion 2 Website.

LZ64 User Manual
https://www.jaapsch.net/psion/manlzop.htm

LZ64 Programming Manual
https://www.jaapsch.net/psion/manlzpg.htm

That should keep you busy for a while.

Sincerely
Martin

The user 'olivierg' makes pretty good USB ones!
I have one and it is great.

Try and get hold of an old Organiser II charger module, as it is essentially an empty case and it fits with very little work.

Got USB one from Olivier, It is awsome bit of kit, well worth the wait and the money. Work a lot better than the original Comms Link. Thank you all for helping on the matter at hand. Raymond

Great, I'm glad you are happy.

I think that Olivier has a really good product there and that more people should consider buying one.  It is very demotivating when one puts in so much effort and doesn't see much interest.

Maybe The Sourcerer would be interested in coming to some agreement with Olivier?
