I am looking for 25 pin Comms Links (4 line version for LZ/LZ64), and 256k Flash Datapacks. Any quantities/condition.
I can offer USB connection Comms Links in exchange if required.

I cut off the old 25-pin to make the newer 9-pin ones so you can do the same - it's just the qty of pins (different ones), the protocol is the same.

I'd have thought that was quicker, cheaper, easier?

May I ask specifically why you need the 25pin models? I have one but I doubt you'd want to pay shipping from the States.

I definitely do not want to pay shipping from the States (EU yes, States no)!
I offered my buyer a USB alternative, but I think it is a case of if it is not bust after 30 years, why change it?
I can not argue with that (how long has USB been available)?
And how many computers as old as Psion are still in commercial demand?

You can still get 25 way connectors on eBay, look for;

"25 pin d connector"

Make sure that you get the gender right...

They are only about 3 with free postage.

Find an RS232 connection chart and as long as you have, I seem to recall a ground, RX and TX then you have basic RS232.

Actually, the 9-pin Comms Link, that I still have somewhere, started out as a 25pin - a new PC, a new plug!

Thanks Mike. I have a stack of 25 pin connectors, but no Comms Links!

Well, if you change your mind, I would be happy to swap the one I have (a 25-pin example) for one of Olivier's USB examples (and perhaps a few Nestle LION bars if you can hide that inside somewhere, ha!)...

Shipping from here would be a USPS Small Flat Rate Box. USD $34.25 (or GBP 26.44), takes about three weeks, but is tracked.

I wish every country's Postal Service had something like CNPost's ePacket! This would be so perfect for that.
