Here is the pinout of the plug of the RO-Comms connecter cable (see attached image for details).

1...GND (signal ground)
2...DSR (data set ready)
3...CTS (clear to send)
4...RTS (ready to send)
5...RXD (receive data)
6...TXD (transmit data)
7...shielding ground
8...DTR (data terminal ready)

Note: If you need the pinout for the connector built into the case, just mirror the attached image!

Wireing details for the connector cable:

RO plugmodern 9-pin plugold 25-pin plug
GND157
DSR266
CTS385
RTS474
RXD523
TXD632
Shield7see below1
DTR8420

Shielding ground should be connected to the cable shield. In case of the 9-pin plug, it should also be connected to the plug chassis.

The 9-pin and the 25-pin plugs are both female.

I am still investigating the wireing details for the bacode reader interface....

Update:
The URL of the plug manufacturer (mentioned in the image) has changed in between:

It is now http://www.binder-connector.de/en/productsearch
Look for Series 712....
